Influencing the Customer Journey

In marketing oftentimes, we talk about the customer journey. What it means is the several steps that a potential consumer would take to eventually convert by completing a purchase of a product, a service, or in a way anything that we want them to do.

It is important to keep in mind that as marketers we have a responsibility with how we want to influence or persuade our customers. That is why it is on us to identify the different scenarios that can occur during our potential customer journeys. 

Once we have identified the different journeys that a customer could take, we can make better decisions on what type of advertisement would be placed in front of our customers to ensure that they successfully go through the journey so they can convert by purchasing what we are offering. 

It is important to note that a customer journey could take several routes, however, is on us as marketers to try and maintain our customers in the journey we wish they follow.

As marketers, if we can guide our consumers through the customer journey, as we would anticipate, we can better create marketing strategies for our segments that would allow profitability.
